EAN, or EAN13, acronym for International Article Number (originally European Article Number).
It is an extension of UPC codes and you will find them as barcodes on most products on a daily basis.
The barcode is also called GTIN or GTIN13 (Global Trade Identifier).
What information is included in an EAN?
EAN includes country of origin (0 - USA o Canadá), the manufacturer (Shiseido) and a product code (72923811888), in addition to the check-digit (the last digit 1).
